Paris this year was an incredible experience for me. I had the opportunity to photograph the farewell to Rafael Nadal, the legend and 14-time RG champion.
Another great experience was the final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The tennis that both heroes showed in the final was a tribute and a celebration of white sport. 5 hours and 29 minutes of tennis from the best players on the planet today.

My Australian Open was ruined by a sad family event (and the untimely end of all Czech players), but I still love it. And I still enjoy taking pictures of the indestructible Novak Djokovic; even though he didn't make the final this year, he's an absolute phenomenon. As much as there is an emerging youth and a great Siner or Alcaraz, I still believe Djoker can live to see his 25th Grand Slam title.

The Nordic Combined World Cup is my annual work break. Snow, cold, snowy landscapes and Christmas approaching. Austria's Ramsau am Dachstein offers all this and more.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025.

Very likely this was his last professional match. In a Davis Cup tie against Dutchman Botice van den Zandschulp he enjoyed it in front of his home crowd in Malaga. And apart from the result, it was a fine adieu; full house, wonderful atmosphere. This is how a legend should say goodbye. Rafael Nadal undoubtedly is. That's not the only reason I've loved photographing him over the years.

Lots of great matches and great experiences – that's what this year's US Open was like. And Karolina Muchova's journey to the semi-finals (and especially her amazing tennis!) captivated not only Mats Wilander and the fans in the Czech Republic. It's a pity, that Karolina didn't make it through the last two steps...

Wimbledon was plagued by rain this year, but the end of the tournament was brightened (especially for Czech fans) by the winning finals of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova. And everyone must have been thrilled by the final battle between Carlos Alzcaraz and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic. Glory to the winners!

That's how I would imagine photographing Roland Garros; no rain sunshine alternating with clouds, lots of great matches spiced up with Czech participation and titles of Kateřina Siniaková in doubles and Tereza Valentová in junior - in singles and doubles too! See you next year...

Rainy and sad. Tennis Paris seemed to symbolize the passing of a legend in the first week. Rafael Nadal, the 14-time champion of Roland Garros, will not add another title at this famous tournament; he bid an emotional farewell to the fans after losing to Zverev.
